Angela Dawn Splitter Yow, age 42, of Oronogo, Missouri, passed away peacefully with her big brother and husband holding her hands on February 17th, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Angela was born on May 29th, 1978, in Nevada, MO., to Leslie Splitter and Linda (Parker) Hagins. Angela was married to Mike Yow for 20 years. Angela was a believer in God and was baptized by Brother Dale Keel at Liberty Baptist Church in Everton, MO. Angela worked at NHC and enjoyed interacting with the residents there. She was previously a manager at Lilly’s Floral where she made beautiful flower arrangements which was her true talent. She attended school in Lamar until her senior year when she moved to Carthage, MO. She always dreamed of being a veterinarian or a marine biologist. Angela will be remembered for her cute giggly laugh and her sweet personality. Angela was a loving wife and mother, caring daughter, and a wonderful grandma. Angela enjoyed taking photos and watching movies with her family. Angela had a special loving bond with her mother Linda and enjoyed spending time with her. Angela enjoyed crafts, drawings, history and just being in the presence of her kids and grandkids. Angela is survived by her mother, Linda Hagins, father, Leslie (Jackie) Splitter, husband, Mike Yow, children; Calab Splitter Yow (22), Savannah Yow (19), Sophia Yow (14), and Seanna Yow (13), grandkids; Braelyn, Hudson and Aubree, one sister, Cynthia Bryan of Springfield, two brothers; Leland (Dena) Splitter, Nevada and Anthony (Kim) Splitter, Joplin, two step-sisters; Mary Reinholtz, Lamar, and Jodi (David) Delana, Warrensburg, and a step-brother, Mike Hagins, Lathrop, her mother-in-law, Donna Meadows, a brother-in-law, Adam Huffman and sister-in-law, Melissa (Bryon) West along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Angela was preceded in death by her stepfather Larry Hagins, who held a special place in her heart. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Margit Parker and grandparents, August and Evelyn Splitter, her aunt Mary Splitter and uncles, Paul Parker, Gene Parker, and Rick Bentlage. A formal burial will be held at Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs, MO., later this spring.
