Alyssa Daniel

Alyssa Gabrielle Daniel, age 19, of Diamond, Missouri passed away August 13, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, Missouri, surrounded by her loving friends and family. Alyssa was born July 25, 2001 in Joplin to Craig and Denise (Hibdon) Daniel. Alyssa graduated from Diamond High School in the class of 2019. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, playing with bubbles and balloons, taking family vacation trips to Florida every year, especially spending time on the beach, watching the Disney Channel and Tom & Jerry Cartoons and enjoyed having books read to her.  Alyssa really liked riding in the elevator as she squealed with delight! Survivors include her parents Craig and Denise Daniel, Diamond, Missouri; two sisters, Ashlyn and Aspen Daniel, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Jack and Iris Daniel, Diamond, Missouri, maternal grandparents, Reggie and Jeri Hibdon, Carthage, Missouri; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her very much.Special thanks to all of her caregivers, therapists and teachers throughout the years, and especially to Maddie Cupp, Taylor Hembree, B.J. Lorenzen and Sarah Burtrum. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Grace Pointe Church in Carthage, Missouri, with burial to follow in Diamond Cemetery, Diamond, Missouri.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Grace Pointe Church.Contributions are suggested and made payable to the Alyssa Daniel Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
